Four rituals, in order

A ritual puts the treatments in a fixed order with the time each one takes, so you know the whole hour before you book it.

    About 90 minutes in all

    Slow Morning

    Done by Josephine Rasmussen or Francisco Vasquez, both massage therapists. Wear what you like in; we give you a robe, slippers and a locker. Add warm stones or a scalp massage when you book or on the day.

    1. Arrive, change into a robe and tell your therapist how much pressure you like (10 min)

    2. Full-body massage on a warmed table (60 min)

    3. Scalp and neck to finish (10 min)

    4. Tea in the lounge before you dress (10 min)

    About 75 minutes in all

    Fresh Face

    Done by Pearl Rivers, esthetician. We give you a robe and a band for your hair. Tell us about sensitivities when you book and again at the skin check.

    1. Skin check and a short talk (10 min)

    2. Cleansing and gentle exfoliation (15 min)

    3. Extractions where your skin calls for them (10 min)

    4. A mask, with a hand and arm massage while it sets (20 min)

    5. Moisturizer and a neck and shoulder finish (10 min)

    6. Tea and a few minutes to dress (10 min)

    About 75 minutes in all

    Soft Hands and Feet

    Done by Suda Boonmee, nail technician. Wear something you can roll up to the knee and the elbow. Add paraffin for hands when you book or on the day.

    1. A warm soak, hands first and then feet (10 min)

    2. Salt scrub, then a massage of hands, forearms, feet and calves (25 min)

    3. Nails shaped and cuticles tended (20 min)

    4. Polish, or a buffed natural finish (15 min)

    5. Tea while it dries (5 min)

    About 90 minutes in all

    Warm Stones

    Done by Francisco Vasquez, massage therapist. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or have been told to take care with heat, ask your doctor first.

    1. Arrive, robe and a short talk about pressure and heat (10 min)

    2. Warm stones on the back, then worked into shoulders and legs (30 min)

    3. Full-body massage with the stones set aside (40 min)

    4. Rest with tea (10 min)
